How to play
- You start with 3 words in your web, not connected to each other yet.
- Type any real 5-letter word that's just one letter different from a word already in your web, then press Add (or hit Enter).
- If it's not a word we know, or it's not one letter from anything in your web yet, you'll be told which — fix it and try again.
- Keep going until all 3 starting words are linked into a single web. There's no list to pick from — figuring out a word that fits is the game.
- The fewer extra words you need, the better your score. Par is the fewest possible — matching it is a Perfect score, and there's no going back once a word is placed.
- There's one puzzle a day. Stuck? Reveal Answer shows the solution — but it ends today's puzzle, and there's no trying again until tomorrow's.
A worked example
Say your 3 words are HOUSE, GOOSE, and WORSE. One way to connect them:
HOUSE → HORSE → WORSE
HOUSE → MOUSE → MOOSE → GOOSE
Each arrow changes exactly one letter. That's 5 extra words in total — Word Web will tell you the real par for your puzzle, which might beat that.
